From Hunters, to Paper Girls, to The Peripheral—hell, arguably even The Rings of Power—Amazon seems determined to produce one quality show after another that they can dump a ton of money into and then abandon on the billion-dollar afterthought of Prime Video. Maybe that will change in March with the launch of three new shows packed with all the Prestige TV signifiers. Probably not, though, so consider this fair warning.

First up is Daisy Jones & the Six (March 3), based on the novel by perennial bestseller Tara Jenkins Reid, which follows the rise and fall of a fictional band that definitely is not about Fleetwood Mac. The granddaughter of Elvis, Riley Keough heads a cast of very pretty people in this miniseries from the screenwriting team behind a bunch of other book adaptations, including The Disaster Artist, Paper Towns, and The Fault in Our Stars.

Speaking of fictional musicians, Swarm (March 17) is a new horror thriller series from Janine Nabers and Donald Glover (Atlanta) that follows the bloody exploits of an obsessive fan of a pop goddess who is definitely not Beyoncé. It looks wild. (Typography nerds will appreciate the fact that they borrowed the trailer font from the 1978 killer bee thriller The Swarm.)

And on March 31, we’ll see how it goes when you try to bring a novel with a slightly absurd premise and serious thematic ambitions (teenage girls the world over suddenly develop the mutant-like ability to shoot electricity from their hands) to the small screen as Prime Video launches the series adaptation of Naomi Alderman’s 2016 sci-fi thriller The Power.

Here’s everything else coming to Prime Video in March—including basically every film to date in the Rocky/Creed franchise, so you can prep for the release of Creed III—plus what you can find streaming for free on Amazon-owned Freevee.
