The Google Pixel 8 came out in October after a much-anticipated release, so it was only a matter of time before the Google Pixel 7 series dropped in price. That time is here. You can now get the 256GB unlocked Google Pixel 7 for $449 (originally $699) and the 128GB unlocked Google Pixel 7 Pro for $526.92 (originally $899). Both the 7 and 7 Pro are currently at their lowest prices ever after checking price comparison tools. For reference, the 7 Pro hit $549 on Feb. 14, which was then the record-low price.

The main difference between the 7 and the Pro is that with the 7 Pro, you get a better camera situation, a better Super Res Zoom, and a larger display with a slightly better refresh rate. Both phones give you a 50MP wide camera and one 12MP ultrawide, but the Pro has a better field of view and a 48MP telephoto camera, which gives you better zoom. You can read more about the difference in our breakdown here.

The Google Pixel 7 is still an “outstanding phone,” according to PCMag’s review. It was deemed the best Android phone for its price and the most affordable flagship phone. If you’re into battery life, the Pixel 7 has a slight advantage with two more hours than the Pixel 7 Pro, with up to 12 hours and 10 minutes. The Pixel 7 Pro got an “excellent” review from PCMag and you can read more about it here.

If you’re looking for a great Android phone for an affordable price, either of the two Pixel phones are great choice with their current price. The best choice will come down to what you value. If you can afford the extra cash, you might want to upgrade to the 7 Pro for a better camera and display. Both will be covered by Google’s ongoing security updates and the Pixel feature updates for years to come.
