Another protein-rich food that not many people are aware of is the humble peas. Yes, you heard it right! Peas are said to be an excellent source of plant-based protein. A single serving of 100 grams may contain up to 5 grams of protein, which is about 10% of the daily requirement. Actress Bhagyashree of ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ fame took to Instagram to explain why you must definitely include peas in your diet. In the video, Bhagyashree is seated with a plate of shelled peas. Enlisting its health benefits, she said that there was a reason why our mothers and grandmothers would encourage us to finish the peas on our plate.”Peas are those gems of nutrition that were often thrown in most Indian food to enrich the look of any vegetable… little did they know that it is full of so many vitamins, zinc, potassium and so much of fiber. Excellent for your digestive health, your eye health and builds your immunity too,” she wrote in the caption.Actress Bhagyashree is currently in Darjeeling on vacation.
