If you’re looking for no-fuss, bass-heavy wireless headphones with a retro look, the Marshall Major IV could be worth checking out, especially now that they’re down to $79.99 from $149.99. They have 40mm drivers that pump out a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz, so they’re pretty versatile for most music genres. That said, while the sound packs a punch, they might not be the most precise for those looking for highly accurate audio.

The Major IV headphones stay true to the brand’s iconic look with its vinyl finish and classic logo on each ear cup, and they keep things simple with just one knob that controls everything—volume, track skipping, Bluetooth pairing, and calls. And their cushioned ear pads and soft faux-leather headband are said to keep things comfy during extended use. Just a heads up, though—they only connect via Bluetooth; there’s no app support. So, if you’re into tweaking your headphone settings through an app, you might want to reconsider.

You can switch to using the Major IVs as wired headphones when you want to save the battery. Marshall claims you’ll get around 80 hours of playtime, though that might vary depending on your usage and volume levels. Charging is done with either a USB-C cable or wirelessly, but as noted in a PCMag review, getting the headphones to balance perfectly makes wireless charging a bit tricky. Additionally, some users have mentioned that the headphones don’t handle high volumes too well, and there have been reports of pairing issues with Windows PCs and the lack of a reset option.

The Sennheiser 450BT makes for a good alternative and is currently available for $122.90, down from $179.95.
