Mega-retailer Walmart is ringing in Black Friday early this year with some sweet bargains on vacuums, including serious savings on my personal favorite: the laser-equipped Dyson V12 Detect Slim.

Walmart’s early Black Friday offerings are available for purchase today, November 9. Below are the standout floor-cleaning appliances available during the sale.

Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute Cordless Vacuum Cleaner: $399.99 (was $649.99)

If you want to get serious about banishing dust from your carpets and hardwood floors, you need to go high-tech. The Dyson V12 Detect Slim is a cordless stick style vacuum with a laser on one of its cleaner heads that illuminates previously unseen detritus, then sucks it into an alternative universe. But that’s not the only use of advanced technology on this baby. It also optimizes power and run-time based on the debris picked up, and reports it all to an onboard LCD screen, turning housecleaning time into an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Long tangled hair is like the Borg to other vacuum heads, but Dyson’s de-tangling Motorbar cleaner head features hair removal vanes that clear long hair and pet hair from the brush bar, just like on the starship Enterprise.

It’s crazy inexpensive, too. This vacuum normally sells for $649.99, but the Black Friday price is only $399.99. That’s what the Klingons call tlhong, a bargain. This deal is only available online.

Hoover Wind Tunnel XL Pet Bagless Upright Vacuum: $68.00 (was 169.99)

Perhaps $400 for a vacuum cleaner is a bit much for you. That’s cool. There are inexpensive options. Like the Hoover Wind Tunnel XL. It doesn’t have a laser, but it will clean your carpets, and it costs less than a meal at a decent restaurant. The Wind Tunnel XL features a multi cyclonic filtering system, wind tunnel technology that “creates channels of suction to lift and remove surface debris and deep-down embedded dirt” and five-position height adjustment. But maybe it’s most notable for what it doesn’t have: a bag. According to its ad copy, the XL’s “high capacity, bottom-release dirt cup means less time emptying and more time enjoying a clean home.”

Hoover PowerDash Pet Compact Carpet Cleaner: $69.00 (was $129.99)

If you own a pet, you should also own a Hoover PowerDash. This floor and carpet cleaner will take a look at the waste your pet leaves behind and laugh, because that crap is gone in sixty seconds. It features a “PowerSpin Pet Brush Roll” designed to deliver clean in high traffic areas and small spaces. It’s lightweight and maneuverable enough to clean up accidents under the furniture, and it features HeatForce Technology, that delivers even faster drying for any space. Plus, it’s ridiculously inexpensive: only $69. Nice.

Shark Cordless Pro IZ540H Stick vacuum: $198 (was $399)

Sometimes you can’t see the dirt on your carpets, but trust me, it is there, waiting and plotting—until you bring out The Shark. This stick vacuum uses “Clean Sense IQ” to locate dirt you can’t even see, and automatically boosts power up to 50% to suck it up with HyperVelocity accelerated suction. Its PowerFin Plus brushroll directly engages your floor to give hardwood a polished look, and you can detach the main unit from the stick and use it as handheld vacuum. It’s got a HEPA filter, a removable battery that lasts for up to 40 minutes, and an LCD screen to help you keep track of all the cleaning. Do you even deserve a vacuum of this magnificence? I think you do. You’re pretty good.

Tineco iFLOOR 3 Cordless Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner and Hard Floor Washer: $199.95 (was $299.99)

Just as Apple’s iPhone once ushered the tech world into the 21st century, Tineco’s iFLOOR 3 promises to take you into the future of housework with its combination of wet and dry cleaning. As a vacuum, it delivers 150W of sucking power. As a mop, it uses dual-tank technology to segregate clean and dirty water (the only kind of segregation I support) to clean up even the most stubborn messes. It filters the air so you can literally breathe in the cleanliness. The iFLOOR 3 has an onboard LED display, a low-noise design so your neighbors won’t complain, and a battery that lets you clean continuously for up to 25 minutes. Will it provide the missing piece of your life to finally bring you contentment? Yes, it will.

The above vacuums are just my picks for best-of-show of Walmart’s Black Friday vacuums. There are other vacuums on sale, too, and a slew of other household items, so check out Walmart’s site for more bargains than you can handle.
