LEGOs are the greatest kids’ toys in history. Unfortunately, they know that, so they aren’t cheap, and they don’t go on sale often. And Amazon Prime Day is a rare exception that proves the rule.
There isn’t a lot of LEGO on sale during Prime Big Deal Days, and most of the discounts aren’t exactly steep, but when you’re a LEGO fan, you take what you can get—even if it’s $3 off a LEGO Santa keychain.
Here are the best Lego (and one LEGO-adjacent) deals you can find on Amazon right now.
LEGO Super Mario Peach’s Castle Expansion Set
Table of Contents
The LEGO Super Mario Peach’s Castle expansion set adds Princess Peach’s castle to your kids (or your) Super Mario World. It includes a Time Block, Peach’s iconic stained-glass window, Bob-omb painting with a hidden action tag, a cake with a Goomba hiding inside, and way more. There’s also 5 LEGO Super Mario figures to populate the place: Bowser, Ludwig, Toadette, a Goomba, and a Bob-omb. The Prime Day price is $90.49, a 30% discount on the regular price.
LEGO City Stuntz Ultimate Stunt Riders Challenge
LEGO’s are awesome, but they’re usually not action-packed, so kids who crave fast movement and chaotic action can be left out of the block-building fun, but the LEGO City Stuntz Ultimate Stunt Rider set challenges the paradigm, plus, it uses a “z” instead of an “s,” so you can be sure it’s eXtreme! The Stuntz set features a full loop, a ring of fire, an “alien tower” vertical climb, and a ramp, all rideable by two toy motorcycles that can be powered with a simple push. In true LEGO fashion, the stunts can be re-arranged when your kid gets bored of the official set-up. The sale price for all this action is $69.99, that’s 30% off.
LEGO Classic Santa Keychain Light
This light-up keychain depicting everyone’s favorite Christmas mascot in brick form is officially licensed from LEGO (and presumably Santa Claus.) The LEGO Classic Santa Keychain Light features LED lights in the feet so Santa can act as an impromptu flashlight, and the batteries are included. If you’re thinking that a minifig is too small to use as a keychain, this is a giant minifig—175% the size of a mini-minifig. It’s a great stocking-stuffer at $11.99, down $3 from the normal price.
LEGO Monkie Kid: Monkie Kid’s Lion Guardian
Drawn from the Amazon Kids+ original series LEGO Monkie Kid, the LEGO Monkie Kid’s Lion Guardian set features the titular Lion Guardian mech with snapping jaws and a shooter, and the Spider Queen battle rig, with movable legs and a shooter. There’s also a posable robot-spider, a buildable arcade with claw-machine and dance videogame, and five minifigures—Monkie Kid with The Golden Staff, Mei with the Jade Dragon Blade, Huntsman with a rifle, Spider Queen and Lu. The set costs $55.99 for Prime Day, down from a list price of $79.99.
RV from “Break Bad” set (compatible with Lego)
There are also a few off-brand LEGO-like building toys worth mentioning. I understand why most fans turn up their noses at the non-LEGO-ness of these pretenders, but I’m making an exception for the RV from Break Bad set that lets you build the camper from that iconic TV series “Break Bad.” Cough cough.
There’s something so wrong about this toy that I’m definitely getting it. I’m not a lawyer, but I’m pretty sure it’s in no way “official.” Also, according to the listing, it’s for “Boys 8-12.” Girls 8-12 apparently aren’t allowed to enjoy imaginative reenactments of meth cooking and murdering in New Mexico. (Extra points for the “Blue Magic” crystals.) And that price: It’s only $29.74.
