Shirley Temple was a much-loved child actress, a celebrated actress and later went on to become a singer, dancer as well as a diplomat. In a statement released by Google through their blog, the reason they decided to honour the icon today was that on this very day in 2015, the Santa Monica History Museum opened “Love, Shirley Temple,” a special exhibit featuring a collection of her rare memorabilia.
