JSW Energy’s consolidated net profit witnessed a two-fold growth during December quarterNew Delhi: JSW Energy recorded a two-fold rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 324 crore for the December quarter of the current fiscal, led by higher revenues. There was a 17.6 per cent increase in the company’s net sales to Rs 1,893 crore in the third quarter over the corresponding period of last year.During the quarter under study, JSW Energy’s total revenue increased by 20 per cent YoY to Rs 1,984 crore from Rs 1,659 crore of the corresponding period of last year. This was mainly due to increase in short term sales and realisation.Owing to this, EBITDA for the quarter was higher by 35 per cent YoY at Rs 882 crore vis-a-vis Rs 655 crore in the corresponding period of previous year.The company continues to deliver strong EBITDA because of stable cashflow from long-term portfolio, superior operations and maintenance practices, with opportunistic gains from buoyancy in the short-term markets, a statement issued by JSW Energy said.
