Interestingly, one dish that will take your love for cheese to the next level is Mac and Cheese. This American delight is a perfect melange of cheese and mild spices, but you will be amazed to know that making this dish is super easy, you just need a few simple ingredients in place and you can nail this dish in just ten minutes.
Ingredients of Mac and Cheese
200gm pasta macaroni
3 tablespoon butter
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
3 tablespoon bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated cheese cubes
1 1/2 tablespoon flour
500 ml milk
Water as required
To make this easy dish, take a pan over medium flame and add salt and olive oil to it. Make sure you don’t wash the pasta as it will ruin the texture of the dish.
Wait for it to boil and add the macaroni to it. After boiling it for a few mins, lower the flame and let it simmer for 5-10 mins more. Then drain the excess water, rinse it using cold water and keep the macaroni aside.
Now, take another pan over medium flame, once the pan is hot, add in some butter. As the butter melts add in the flour. Keep stirring and gradually add milk, make sure there are no lumps. Whisk the mixture well until the mixture starts thickening. Reduce the flame, and then add the cheese to the mixture. Whisk again till the cheese is completely melted and lastly add in some salt and pepper.
Take a baking dish, place the boiled macaroni. Pour the prepared cheese sauce and evenly spread it over the macaroni. In the meantime, put a little butter in a pan and add breadcrumbs in some butter, once they turn brown, spread them over the macaroni.
Sprinkle some leftover cheese over the breadcrumbs and put the dish into the oven. Bake it at 175 degree Celsius for 30 mins or till the top is slightly brown. Serve hot!!!
Note:
If you don’t have an oven, you can microwave it for a few minutes to melt the cheese. This dish can be used for any occasion like kitty parties, picnics, birthday parties and get-together.
