Remember back in the day (i.e. 2019) when we took the simple act of leaving our home for non-essential purposes for granted? After more than a year of limiting our time in public to outings related to work, emergencies or getting basic supplies, going out to do something because you’d actually enjoy it sounds almost decadent.
For this reason, you may have plans for the summer—or at least a list of things you’d like to see or do. But since the pandemic hasn’t exactly been easy on our wallets and household budgets, not everyone is in a position to be able to spend money on recreational activities. If you fall into that category, you may be interested in a contest that will award 500 people up to $100 to use towards the summer activity of their choice. Here’s what to know.

The sweepstakes is part of 14 Hands Winery’s “Find Your Wild” campaign—which, in their own words: “encourages consumers to rediscover their weekends again by ending the work week early on Fridays at 3 p.m. to pursue passion projects and fun adventures.”
Regardless of whether or not calling it quits on Friday afternoon is anywhere close to a possibility for you, you’re still welcome to enter their “Cash in on Your Wild” contest, which will provide 500 winners with a reimbursement of up to $100 for doing something fun on the weekend.
How to enter
First, some rules. In order to enter, you must be at least 21 years of age and “a lawful permanent resident” of the United States—including Washington, DC, but excluding the state of Colorado. No purchase is necessary to throw your hat in the ring, but you can only enter the contest once.

To do that, you’re going to need a photo of your receipt from your summer activity—specifically, “a valid, dated, service or store-identified invoice or cash register receipt dated 5/8/2021 – 7/17/2021 showing a minimum purchase price of $100.00 toward a purchase of an item or experience that seemed wild to you.” Also, you have to circle the purchase price of your activity on the receipt.
Once you have that, you have two options:
- Texting “WILD” to 73876, and clicking on the link in the reply message to complete the entry form, including the upload of your receipt photo.
- Going directly to this website to complete the entry form and upload your receipt pic.
A few more things:
- If you go the text route, it automatically subscribes you to their text updates, so once you’ve completed your entry, you can reply “STOP” to a message to get yourself off the list.
- Those entering via the website have the usual boxes to tick/not tick depending on whether or not they’d like to remain on the company’s mailing list.
- All entries (presumably, including the receipt itself) must be in English.
- The $100 reimbursement payments will be issued on Visa Prepaid cards.
Every Monday from now (well, technically May 17th) and July 17th, there will be a weekly drawing randomly selecting 50 winners. But it’s worth noting that if you don’t win the drawing the week you entered, that’s it—entries don’t roll over. Finally, entries for each Monday drawing must be received by 12:59:59 p.m. EST the previous day (Sunday).
