The world of the air fryer has quickly become vast and sprawling with brands, shapes, and configurations. If you’re in the market to buy your very first air fryer, let me be the first to say congratulations, you’re in for a fun ride. And even if you’re just looking to upgrade, you’re in the right spot. Amazon’s fall Prime Day is peeking around the corner, but right now there are some early Prime Day deals to snag before the big days. Here are some of my picks for early Prime Day sales on air fryers.

The Cosori Air Fryer 2.1-quart

For a straightforward, basket-style air fryer model, try Cosori. This one is a petite model, which has the same powerful crisping capabilities of larger air fryers but with a more modest 2.1-quart capacity. This is a good choice if you’re heating small portions or if you have limited counter space.

The Ninja DoubleStack

After you start air frying a few things, you start air frying everything. The only hiccup you’ll encounter is making a meal of two air fried items that need to be cooked at different temperatures or fan speeds. Normally, you’d have to do one thing at a time, but with the Ninja DoubleStack, you can do both at once. Featuring two different zones with separate fans and heating elements, you can throw a roast in one basket and friends in another. The vertical orientation helps keep the countertop footprint small.

Dash Tasti-Crisp

The Dash line is popular for small kitchen appliances and buyers on a budget. This air fryer falls right in-step with the Dash model: compact, effective, and affordable (even before the pre-Prime Day discount). I’d recommend this one as a starter air fryer, or a stepping stone for a college student or someone who reheats a lot of leftover restaurant French fries. This air fryer is a small capacity model, 2.6-quarts, and though it doesn’t have a digital display, the dials are easy to use and intuitive.

The Oster Countertop Oven Air Fryer

Sure, basket models have a strong following, but let us not forget the popular oven-style air fryer. Capable of crisping the usual fries and nuggets, you can also easily air-fry cakes and pies in this type of unit. This Oster features all the capabilities of a reliable toaster oven, with the added benefit of quick convection heating.

Ninja Foodi Smart Indoor XL “Grill”

Normally a bit of a splurge item, this flat, grill-style air fryer from Ninja is a downright bargain at the moment. This air fryer comes with grill grates and baskets to accommodate what you’re cooking, and a probe thermometer so you can easily check for doneness without opening the lid. This air fryer is a good choice if you aren’t quite ready to give up burgers and dogs on these cool, rainy fall Saturdays.
