The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced that Bob Evans Farms Foods, Inc., is recalling approximately 7,560 pounds of Italian pork sausage products for potentially having possible foreign matter contamination—specifically, “thin blue rubber.”
The problem was discovered once consumers complained to Bob Evans Farms Foods about finding the thin blue pieces of rubber in the sausage. There have been no official health problems reported to the FSIS from consuming the contaminated products.
