Food is a lot more than just something you need to stay alive. Be it a humble bowl of dal, a pizza or a box of chocolates, offering food to someone can bring people together and evoke feelings of care and affection. Savouring lip-smacking dishes is all you need sometimes to elevate the mood. As you get busy exploring the world of flavours, the stress tends to wash away. Similarly, food can also serve as a medium to convey emotions. Recently, a doctor shared a delightful post about receiving dry fruits as a Ugadi gift from his decade-old patient. In his tweet, the doctor wrote, “Yesterday, someone entered my clinic late after I finished seeing all the patients.” He added that the woman works as a helper in a bank and has been his patient for over a decade. The doctor shared that he never charged any fees to that woman as he knew her financial condition. And, as a thank-you gesture for his service, the woman gifted the doctor a jar of dry fruits while wishing him a happy Ugadi.“She says I have not come as a patient. Today is my last day in a bank and I am grateful for all your help,” the doctor wrote along with a photo of the dry fruit jar.
