Bollywood celebrity Malaika Arora recently, took to her Instagram handle to share a quick DIY recipe that she swears by. She shared the recipe of a coffee body scrub that she has been using the lockdown period, because she out of all her other body scrubs. She is a fan of the scrub and loves the fact that it’s quick and easy. Another actress who loves to use coffee scrub to exfoliate her face is, Alaya F. She also took to her Instagram handle to share a DIY coffee scrub that she loves using most of the time.

Both these recipes are extremely effective and the best part is that it is all natural. So if you want to try scrubs and face packs made up of coffee. Seem Baano, a beauty expert, suggests a few.

“Using coffee grounds directly on the face is great for reducing signs of aging. From wrinkles, to sun spots and fine lines, coffee will help you fix it all. Use it as a face scrub once every 2-3 days and you will see the difference. Fighting and delaying skin aging is one of the most popular coffee benefits for skin. You just need a spoon of ground coffee and to that a dd a tsp of olive oil, and make a paste out of it and use it as an exfoliator for your face and body. Coffee with oil, works best for dry skin. If you oily skin, use a little bit of rose water, don’t add a lot of it, just enough to make it moist, and then you can use it,” says Seema.

The beauty benefits of coffee is not just restricted to skin care. Coffee can be used for hair as well. “Coffee has quite a few benefits for your scalp and hair. Anyone suffering with an oily scalp can use coffee for exfoliation prior to a hair wash. Just take a small amount and rub it in your scalp. Leave it on for a couple of minutes and then wash off using your hair shampoo and conditioner,” shares Seema.
