Are you balancing your intake of Christmas cookies by ordering Uber Eats for tacos and Pad See Ew (my personal holiday tradition)? Well, you can now keep that app open to get some holiday shopping done, too. Here’s how you can use the food delivery service to shop for your holiday must-haves—including stocking stuffers and the tree itself—through its new “holiday hub.”

The feature might come in handy this year more than others, with holiday crunch-time shopping being impacted by pandemic supply chain interruptions. If you’ve faced unexpected hurdles trying to get some holiday essentials this year, ordering the items for “takeout” could be the right move for you.

How it Uber Eats’ “holiday hub” works

Open the Uber Eats app and tap the “Holiday” billboard. You can also search for what you need by using holiday emojis like the Christmas tree, gift box, or even Mr. and Mrs. Claus. This “hub” is where you can virtually browse the holiday aisles at merchants like Rite Aid, GoPuff, Walgreens, and more. Through Dec. 31, you can also get $20 off orders of $60 or more from participating stores, including Mr. Jingles and Bed Bath & Beyond.

For now, tree delivery is only available in select cities. Uber customers in Los Angeles, San Diego, and West Palm Beach are able to order 2-foot to 4-foot Christmas trees to be delivered, or 5-foot to 10-foot trees to be picked up. Customers in New York City can order wreaths to be delivered.

More seasonal offerings

Uber first tried out their holiday hub earlier this year with pumpkins and carving kits for Halloween, and are expected to have seasonal offerings for Valentine’s Day in 2022, as well. I’m guessing chocolates, roses, and…tissue boxes, for your heartbreak needs? Only time will tell.
