Akshay Kumar’s Twitter Exchange With Anupam Kher On Special 26 Sequel: “I’m Ready If…”

On the 10th anniversary of the movie that was inspired by a 1987 heist where a group posing as Income Tax officials raided a jeweller, Anupam Kher expressed his desire to work in its sequel. The veteran actor even added a poll to his tweet to know the opinion of his followers. Anupam Kher asked Akshay Kumar if a sequel to their hit film should be made or not. Anupam Kher’s tweet read, “Aaj humari film Special 26 ko release huye 10 saal ho gaye. Maine humare Honhaar director Neeraj Pandey se kitni baar kaha hai ki who iska part-2 banaye. Ab aap hi bataye, Special 26 ka sequel ban na chahiye ya nahi (today our film Special 26 completes 10 years of release. Many times I have told our promising director Neeraj to make part-2 of it. But…! Now you tell me whether a sequel to Special 26 should be made or not), Akshay Kumar?”Replying to his co-star’s tweet, Akshay Kumar wrote that he is “ready” only if the “script is ready.” He tweeted, “I’m ready if the script is ready. The film also starred Kajal Aggarwal, Jimmy Shergill and Manoj Bajpayee.Anupam Kher and Akshay Kumar have worked together in a couple of more films like Baby, Naam Shabana, Desi Boyz, Jaan-E-Mann and Aflatoon.  Akshay Kumar’s next film is Selfiee with Emraan Hashmi. Co-starring Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty.
