In Himachal, the additional spectrum is deployed to deliver an improved indoor network experienceIn a bid to strengthen its mobile network in more states across the country, telecom giant Bharti Airtel recently deployed an additional 21.6 Mhz spectrum in West Bengal and 9.6 MHz in 900 MHz spectrum band in Himachal Pradesh. In West Bengal, the spectrum is deployed along with advanced network software tools across the network in the state to significantly boost the network coverage and ensure hassle-free, high speed data services, as per details shared by the company.In Himachal Pradesh, the additional spectrum is deployed to deliver an improved indoor network experience for customers in the state. In the state, Airtel has the largest spectrum bank at 70 MHz with 40 MHz in 2300 MHz band, 10 MHz in 900 MHz band, among others. Similarly in Bengal, Airtel has the largest spectrum bank at 65 Mhz and is well-positioned to cater to the growing demand for data services.In West Bengal, the company added a 10 MHz spectrum in the 2300 band, 3.8 MHz in the 1800 band, 5 Mhz in the 2100 band, as well as 2.8 MHz in the 900 band.   On Thursday, July 1, shares of Bharti Airtel settled 0.42 per cent lower at Rs 522.85 apiece on the BSE. Bharti Airtel opened on the BSE at Rs 527.05, inching to an intra day high of Rs 530.95 and an intra day low of Rs 522, throughout the trading session today.
