Aditi Rao Hydari, a leading Bollywood actress, who starred in “Padmaavat”, shared her experience with anxiety during lockdown. Allegedly, the actress was shooting in Chennai and had returned back home just when the lockdown was announced.
However, even though she was home and surrounded by her family, she went through despair and suffered with anxiety. In an interview with Mumbai Mirrors, while discussing her time during quarantine, she says, “I was anxious and swimming in tears. I missed being on the sets and was feeling frustrated that I couldn’t help people the way I wanted to.”
But being an optimist, she adds, “Put a tub of muck in front of me and I will find something beautiful in it. So I called my near and dear ones who were equally stressed, and helping them out helped me feel better.”
Lockdown has surely given us all a tough time, but it has also made us realize the true essence of life and living. Treading along these lines, Aditi Rao Hydari also shares how she utilized her time to reconnect with her creative side and engaged in discovering new passions. “In the last eight-nine years, I haven’t been able to give too much time to dance and music. I used to practice Kalari, but then, I stopped. The break gave me time to reconnect with my creative side”, she says.
In addition to that, she also indulged in painting furniture for her cousin’s bachelor pad. Apart from that, the actress also mastered some special recipes in the kitchen.
That being said, Aditi Rao Hydari’s lockdown experiences are very different from ours. Every day we wake up feeling anxious about the preceding days and wondering when will all this end. However, eventually, we find something new to do every day, feeling more positive about life.
