How to Decorate a Candle with Epsom Salt

3. Pour some epsom salt on a plate and set aside. (Figure 3)
4. Working with a candle, apply paint liberally to the areas that are not covered with tape. Do not paint the bottom of the candle. Use care not to cover too much of the tape with paint. It makes it difficult to peel it off when done.
5. Once finished, roll the candle back and forth in the epsom salt. (Figure 4)
6. Set aside to dry for about 3 – 4 hours or overnight. (Figure 5)
7. Once paint and glue are dry, carefully remove the tape and discard.
8. Step back and admire the finished product. (Figure 6)

Quick tip: For an even easier project, buy colored candles and skip the painting step. Just coat the candle with craft glue and roll in the epsom salt.
