The aftereffect of lockdown can be seen on those who are losing jobs. For many, it is coming as a shock but there are people who are taking it in stride and making the most of it. A 79-year-old Mexican man, Carlos Elizondo, who used to work at a grocery store, was laid off in the month of May and instead of getting sad about it, he decided to keep busy and started making cooking videos and uploading them on YouTube!

On 25th May, he created his account on YouTube and named it Tito Charly, and uploaded his first video. And in less than a month, his YouTube page had over 400K subscribers.

His YouTube channel is all about experimenting and the same duly reflects in his profile introduction which states: ‘At my age I still believe that everything can be achieved when you do things with the desire to live.’

Interestingly, in a very short span of time, his channel has crossed more than one million views. Till date he has uploaded 8 videos and all of them are overloaded with cooking hacks and tips and his cuteness adds to the flavour of the videos.

To thank his followers and subscribers, he even made a thank you video when his channel got 1000 subscribers.

The most loving part of his video is the way his family helps him. On one hand his daughters narrate and records the cooking videos, while his grandson helps in marketing the videos online.

To combat the financial shock, he has also created his own line of ingredients which he sells directly to customers online! From cheese to dried meats, his brand sells everything that can be used to make easy dishes.
