It’s a new month, which means new games will soon be available on PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass. Both services have some big titles on the horizon for March 2023, including massive multiplayer shooters and action RPGs on PlayStation, and a bunch of day-one releases and exciting indies on Xbox.

Scroll on for a round-up of everything joining—and leaving—PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass in March 2023 (so far).

PlayStation Plus’ March lineup is starting strong with a trip of new PS Plus Essentials, including the large-scale competitive shooter Battlefield 2042, the dungeon-crawling Minecraft spin-off Minecraft Dungeons, and the anime-flavored soulslike action RPG Code Vein. All three games are free for PS Plus subscribers at all membership levels, and will remain in your collection as long as you’re subscribed. You can add them to your library starting March 7.

Moving up the subscription level, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members can look forward to several new PS4 and PS5 games joining the PlayStation Plus Game Catelog this month, such as the eerie first-person shooter Ghostwire Tokyo, the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection—which includes PS5 versions of Uncharted 4 and Uncharted Lost Legacy—and two Ubisoft-published games: Immortals: Fenyx Rising and Rainbow Six Extraction. These titles will join the service on March 21. It’s likely Sony will announce more Game Catalog additions later in the month over on the PlayStation Blog.

We don’t yet know if any new PlayStation Plus Classics will join the service this month, but that’s just an excuse to try some of the PlayStation 1 games that joined the service in February, like Wild Arms 2 and Legend of Dragoon.

The Xbox Game Pass lineup is a bit slimmer this month, at least in terms of announcements so far.

Starting with the Games With Gold freebies for Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Live Gold subscribers, you can get the point-and-click adventure game Trüberbrook and the World War II RTS Sudden Strike 4: European Battlefields Edition starting March 1. Then, on March 16, the indie survival horror game Lamentum will also join the GWG offerings for the month. These games are free to download and remain in your library as long as you’re subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold.

The Game Pass library, on the other hand, has several new titles lined-up, including day-one launches for the highly anticipated action game Wo Long Fallen Dynasty, and the atmospheric indie Way To The Woods. Game Pass members will also get the fan-favorite Nordic survival game Valheim on March 14, along with a smattering of sports titles courtesy of EA Play. As usual, more Game Pass games will likely be announced later in the month on the official Xbox Wire blog.

At the time of writing, Microsoft has yet to confirm any Game Pass departures for this month. We expect there to be at least a few removals, so keep an eye on the official Xbox Blog for any news. However, we at least know one of February’s Games With Gold freebies, Guts ‘N Goals, will leave on March 15, so make sure you add it to your library if you want to keep playing it after it’s removed.
