America’s fascination with the British monarchy is nothing new—especially when it comes to all the drama within the family. And lots of that dirty laundry is likely to be aired today with the release of the interview between Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and a member of the American royalty—Oprah.
It’s Harry and Meghan’s first interview since being relieved of their royal duties and announcing that their second child is on the way. The interview airs on Sunday, March 7. Here’s how to watch it.

“Oprah With Meghan & Harry: A Primetime Special” will air between 8 and 10 p.m. EST on Sunday, March 7, 2021 on CBS broadcast stations on television, as well as CBS.com. If you’re a subscriber to the new Paramount+ streaming service, you may be able to stream your local CBS affiliate live via the app—though this service isn’t offered in all markets. Those unable to watch the interview live can catch it streaming on Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, FuboTV and AT&T TV—all of which offer free trials.
There have already been a few promotional clips of the interview circulating, and so even if you aren’t able (or don’t care) to watch the full special, you can catch the highlights (or in some cases, lowlights) on the news the following day.

As if the actual goings-on at Buckingham Palace weren’t enough, there are plenty of TV shows and movies that focus on this oddly branching family tree. Some of these based-on-a-true story versions of real events—particularly the most recent season of Netflix’s The Crown, which is set between 1979 and 1990—take place during our lifetime, blurring the line between fiction and (what’s claimed to be) historical fact.
That’s also true of the extensive tabloid coverage of the royals in the United Kingdom (which is then picked up in some American media). In fact, Prince Harry referred to the British press as “toxic,” citing it as a reason that he and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, decided to leave the UK last year.
Then, on Feb. 19, 2021, Buckingham Palace announced that Harry had been stripped of his honorary military titles, and both he and Meghan were royal patronage appointments, the New York Times reported. It certainly sounds like they’ll have plenty to discuss with Oprah.
