Staples must have seen all the attention Krispy Kreme is getting for handing out free doughnuts to vaccinated people all year long—with proof via a valid vaccination card—because now they’re offering to laminate those cards for all of us for free. In the latest installment of Nice Things Companies Are Doing For Us Right Now, Staples announced yesterday it will laminate, at no charge, any completed vaccine card from now through May 1, and this morning, Office Depot followed suit, promising free laminating through July 25.

It’s not yet clear how important the paper cards are going to be in the coming months, but chances are good you’ll need yours for proof of vaccination at some point if you travel or as you return to work or school. Because there’s no comprehensive “digital vaccination passport” system in the U.S., most of us will be relying on that piece of paper as our only proof that we’ve been vaccinated.

In order to protect its integrity for however long we may need it, Staples tells Business Insider that it will laminated any vaccination card after the card holder has received two doses (for the vaccines that require two, that is) through May 1. That date is an extension from its initial announcement of April 3. The offer is good in-store at locations nationwide; the coupon code is “81450,” according to CBS Boston. Office Depot’s offer is much the same, but stretches through late July; the coupon code is 52516714 and the offer can be printed here.

Keep in mind that while laminating the card may help prevent it from being damaged, it doesn’t prevent you from losing it. It’s still a good idea to take a clear photo of the card for your records in case it should go missing.
